The Pathways of Learning
This course will cover two texts. The first is called "Instruction of the Student on the Method of Learning" by Imam al-Zarnuji. The second is a text written for students of knowledge to give them the lay of the land and an overview of different approaches and some of the etiquettes that are necessary on the journey.
The course is introductory, but it is possible one of the most important in the whole program. This is because it introduces the student to the worldview of Islam and the approach that the Muslims took to learning and preserving this religion. If we can get it right it will facilitate what comes after it by providing the proper frames to approach everything else.
This course is taught by Shaykh Jamaal Diwan.
